Wayne D. Joyce
LONGS, SC - Wayne D. Joyce, 58, of Longs, SC, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at Seacoast Medical Center.
Born on November 4, 1947 in Reading, PA, he is the son of Edith L. Martin and the late William Wallace Joyce. He retired from DuPont Corporation, Martinsville, VA and LaPorte, TX after 25 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach and was an avid golfer.
Other than his mother of Wilmington, NC, Mr. Joyce is survived by his wife, Freda "Dale" James Joyce of the home, one son, Alan Wayne Joyce of Wilmington, one daughter, Amanda Dale Joyce of Henry, VA, one brother, William Wallace Joyce and his wife, Kim of Olive Branch, MS, two sisters, Jennifer Snead and her husband Chuck of Danville, VA and Jance Hoffman and her husband Paul of Millerville, MD.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach. The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall following the service. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Martinsville, VA at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.
