LEVELLAND - Services for Charlie Taylor, 82, of Levelland, are pending with George C. Price Funeral Directors in Levelland. Taylor, the father, of Mrs. Lucille Tinton of Midland and Grady Taylor of Fort Stockton, died Sunday evening at a Lubbock Hospital.
He was born May 23, 1894, in Milam County. He was a member of the Caddo Baptist Church there. He moved to Levelland from Milam County in 1935 and operated a laundry until 1951. He then worked for Levelland Compress until his retirement in 1961.
Other survivors include five more daughters, two more sons, two stepdaughters and a stepson, 26 grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
