Services for Glenn Edward Sanders Sr., 57, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Glenn died on Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Sherman.

Survivors include his son, Glenn Sanders Jr. of Savoy; daughter, Heather Sanders of Tulsa, Okla., siblings, Mike Sanders of Savoy, Deryle Sanders of Savoy, Jim Sanders of Rockwall, Texas, Bruce Sanders of Southmayd, Cheryl Hair of Colbert, Okla., Patty Lemons of Sherman, and Donny Sanders of Bonham, and four grandchildren.

Family visitation will be from 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday, January 1 at Waldo Funeral Home.

Glenn Edward Sanders Sr. was born February 17, 1955 in Dallas to Deryle Sanders Sr. and Norma Jean (Jackson) Sanders and passed from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ in Sherman at the age of 57.

Glenn grew up in the South Oak Cliff part of Dallas, and was a graduate of Savoy High School in 1974. Glenn worked for Health Trends for more than 10 years and was employed by the Denison ISD for five years. He enjoyed watching television and taking walks. Glenn was the biggest fan of Elvis and an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother, Glen Larry Sanders, and nephew, Jeremy Sanders.

He is survived by his son, Glenn Sanders and his wife, Amanda of Savoy, Texas, daughter, Heather Sanders and her fiancé, Drew Almy of Tulsa, Okla., siblings, Mike Sanders and his wife, Mary of Savoy, Texas, Deryle Sanders and his wife, Shirley of Savoy, Texas, Jim Sanders and his wife, Ashley of Rockwall, Texas, Bruce Sanders and his wife, Tammy of Southmayd, Texas, Cheryl Hair and her husband, Jim of Colbert, Okla., Patty Lemons of Sherman, Texas, and Donny Sanders of Bonham, Texas, two grandkids, Logan Sanders and Ellen Almy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate Glenn's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman with Tom Armstrong officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 -8 p.m., at Waldo Funeral Home.
