ROBERT CHARLES BAILEY was born on March 22nd, 1953 in Baytown to Robert Edward and Dorothy Louise Lund Bailey. He went home to be with his Lord Jesus on December 20th, 2012 after a long illness.

He is survived by his parents, his beloved wife Rebecca Beth Bailey of Baytown, daughter Spring del Pino and son-in-law Eddie of Kingwood, son Kyle Bailey and daughter-in-law Grace of Baytown, step-son Shaffer Stephenson and daughter-in-law Kim, step-son Joseph Stephenson and daughter-in-law Amy, and grandchildren Aidan and Andrew del Pino, Staci Bailey, and Bailey, Brittney, and Natalee Stephenson. He is also survived by his sister Karen Harrison and brother-in-law David of Italy, Texas, and sister Debbie Marshall of Baytown.

Robert graduated from the Singapore American School (highschool) in 1971 and attended Lee College in Baytown. He joined Exxon and was employed there for many years until his retirement in 2012. He married Rebecca Stephenson on September 19, 1997 and they lived in Baytown. Recently they began their retirement journey which included several trips in their RV and planning a retirement home in Brazoria County.

Robert was actively involved at Alliance Bible Church in Baytown along with his wife until he was unable to attend due to health issues. He especially looked forward to his weekly men's Bible study group. He loved learning and growing spiritually with men who shared his Christian commitment. He also thoroughly enjoyed music and was very happy singing and playing his guitar. Another favorite pastime was playing baseball with a team of men who meant a lot to him. Robert loved being with people. He had a knack for spreading smiles and laughter, and he was happiest when he could interact with others. He leaves behind a legacy of many happy memories and special relationships.

Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Saturday, December 22nd at Earthman Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 23rd at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas, at 2:00pm with Pastor Dave Young officiating. Internment will be held at 10:00am on Monday, December 24th at Sterling-White Cemetery, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to the American Cancer Society or to the Men's Ministry at Alliance Bible Church, 302 West Cedar Bayou Lynchburg Rd, Baytown, Texas, 77521.
