Author Truman Pittman, age 63, of Sanger, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Tallulah, LA. He was born September 13, 1947 in Big Spring, TX to A.Z. and Lona Mae (Parker) Pittman. He married Gloria Ann Armontroutt, May 31, 1974 in Denton. Author was a High School Teacher and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria of Sanger; daughter, Christi Edwards of Sanger; mother, Lona Mae Pittman of Grandbury; sister, Delores Foster of Ada, OK; grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Dustin, and McKinzie Edwards.
A funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, March 21, 2011 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm, Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
