Mr. Jim Weldon Chambers,age 51, of Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at his residence. He was born August 21, 1961, in San Augustine County, Texas, to the late John and Dorothy (Adkins) Chambers.

Jim was baptized into the baptist faith at Grapevine Missionary Baptist Church when he was a young man. He sold real estate in the area.

Jim is survived by his wife Opal Chambers of Hemphill; sons Justin Merritt and wife Jessica of Shelbyville, Jordan Merritt and wife Deidre of Lufkin, and Logan Merritt of Hemphill; daughter Amanda Merritt of Hemphill; brother Albert Chambers and wife Reba of Pineland; sister Cindy Murray and husband Gaylon of Rosevine Community; grandchildren Loretta and Noah Merritt; nieces Mandy Sowell and husband Jamie and Kelley Dillon and husband Brian; 1 great nephew and 2 great nieces, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012, 2:00 p.m., Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, San Augustine, with Bro. George Lowery officiating. Burial will be in the Rosevine Cemetery, Rosevine Community, Sabine County, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, December 3, 2012, 5:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m., Wyman Roberts Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Johnny Ford, George Hutto, Jim Wells, Shane Guy, Curtis White and Jerry Wayne Adkins.
