Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Vena Fore Kilgore Bowman, 90, Glencoe, who died Saturday, May 13, 2006. Pastor Tammy Jackson will officiate. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Park. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.

Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, John Bowman; first husband and father of her children, Monroe Kilgore; daughter, Nell Battles; and son, James Kilgore.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Charlie) Callahan, Blue Ridge, Ga., and Faye (Curtis) Jackson, Glencoe; son-in-law, Fred Battles, Gadsden; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dessie Hopper, Gadsden; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be staff of McGuffey Health Care.

The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your home church.
