At Rest.
Ollie Cluster, aged 20, brother of Mrs. Lew Dougherty and Mrs. Thos. Ankrom, and a young man well and favorable known to the people of this vicinity, departed this life Monday, Feb. 25, at 8 o'clock a.m. at the residence of Lew Dougherty. Funeral services were conducted at the house the following day at 2 o'clock p.m., after which the remains were interred in the Logan cemetery.

The disease, which cut our young friend off in the full bloom of youth, was lingering in its nature, having fastened itself upon him nearly two years ago, but it was not until recently that his resolute will yielded to its controlling influences; and when it was known that his condition was beyond the restorative power of medical skill, his dear friends employed every possible means to lengthen and make pleasant his fading days.

It was consoling indeed to note with what calm and trusting faith Ollie met death. He seemed to realize that "there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will rise again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease."

DEATH OF OLLIE CLUSTER

At 8 o’clock on the morning of the 25th inst., at the residence of Lew Dougherty, in this city, Mr. Ollie Cluster, aged 20 years, 5 months, and 11 days, departed this life.

About a year and a half ago he came here from Missouri, in hopes of bettering his health. For a time it seemed that his hopes were to be realized, but in August he returned to Missouri, thinking that the change would be beneficial to him. But I this he was disappointed for he became worse and worse and in November returned to Logan, again hoping that his health might be restored. Vain Hope! He grew weaker and weaker and it was with sorrow that his relatives and friends discovered that that dreadful disease, consumption, had fastened itself upon him. Everything that kind and loving hands could do was done for him, but it availed nothing.

He was gentlemanly and agreeable in his demeanor an left many warm friends. He professed religion on Feb. 11th and died happy in the faith, being conscious to the last. His funeral occurred on Tuesday, Revs. Woodard and Shackelford conducting the services, after which a large number of people followed the remains to their last resting place.
