Genoveva Gallegos Brito, 84, of Odessa passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Maijoma, Chihuahua, Mexico on November 27, 1927 to Lino and Angelita (Prieto) Gallegos.

Genoveva married Ernesto Brito in 1948 and had a long and happy marriage until his passing in 1991. She was a retired housekeeper with MCH.

Genoveva always had food. She loved to eat, eat, eat and always had home cooked meals in abundance. She was very loving and always had her home open to anyone who needed a place to stay and would give the shirt off her back to them. Genoveva loved flowers, parrots, crocheting and embroidering.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are sons: Victor Brito, Maximo Brito, Jose Brito all of Odessa and Ernesto Brito, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; Daughters: Dominga Lopez & Antolina Brito Parra both of Midland, Josefina Armendariz of Ft. Stockton, Jeannie Brito of Odessa and Irene Niece of Shallowater, Tx; Brothers: Lino Gallegos, Jesus Gallegos, Francisco Gallegos, Modesto Cervantes all of Ojinaga, Mexico; Sisters: Feliciana Hernandez, Paula Gallegos, Juana Hernandez, Maria Brito of Presidio and Josefa Herrera of Johnston, CO.; 43 grandchildren; 108 great grandchildren; 39 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be 2:00pm Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father Chavez. Interment will follow at Rose Hill in Ector County Cemetery
