Son of Frank Andrew and Blanche Edith (Irrgang) Weitzel. Joined C.C.C. (Civil Conservation Corps) in 1935. Stationed at Letchworth Park, NY
Big Bend Camp SP#5. On June 26, 1936 married Virginia Lucille (Bowersox) Weitzel in Olean, NY
Joined the Sea Bees, then enlisted in the US Navy WW II. Served on a Destroyer Escort, USS Williams DE-372, in the Pacific. After the war he was employed by several Beer Dist. in Olean area. He then became a salesman for Sanzo Beverage in Olean, NY. Died Young of a heart attack. He and Virginia "Toots" had 2 children. Bill Lee Born 14 April 1937 and Mark Edward Born 18 May 1944. "Bill" was a very good amateur boxer when he was younger. Along with his wife, sons and a little help from friends, he built his own home on Goodrich Ave. in Olean. Later he enjoyed Golf, Model Railroading, Playing Ping-Pong, Woodcrafts and Family. He could also play harmonica and Jews Harp. He was known by all, far and wide and a friend to all. Could not ask for a better husband and father.
