Roy Earl Moores was the fifth son of Willis and Ellen Moores of Richmond Ky. With 2 brothers already serving overseas in the US Army Roy enlisted in the Army in time to serve with the European Occupational Forces. Upon discharge Roy attended Eastern Ky. University where he participated in ROTC. After receiving his commission Roy was involved in the Korean conflict. Just 2 weeks after returning from that war Roy was fatally injured in an automobile crash on US 25 just north of Richmond, Ky. He never married. Lt.
