Hazel Dean Minor, age 91, of Decatur, GA died at New London Health Services in Snellville, GA on February 12, 2007. Born July 12, 1915 in Gwinnett County, GA, Hazel was the daughter of Sidney Minor and Delia Wilson Baker Minor. Hazel was an active member of Clairmont Hills Baptist Church for over 33 years and was a member of the WMU. She worked for Colonial Stores, Inc. for 18 years and then took care of children along with her sister Mary in their home. Hazel loved her church, children and the Atlanta Braves. She loved to watch her brother, Lynwood Minor, bowl. She was preceded in death by all her beloved brothers and sisters, G. Lynwood Minor, Kathleen Eaton, Mary Harrison, Sidney Wayne Minor, Lavilla Minor, Lucy Doggendorf and Ruth Camp. There are many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews that survive her. There are also many close friends. The family would like to thank Abbey Hospice and New London Health Services for all their wonderful care of Hazel. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 11 AM in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home at 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA. Rev. Larry T. Burgess will officiate. Interment will follow at Sodom Cemetery in Conyers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at A. S. Turner & Sons.
