I am a retired United States Marine, a Son of American Revolutionary War Patriots and a Son of Confederate Veterans. I was raised with strong family ties and values that hold me tightly to those that came before me. I claim to be a minor league historian and have taken the helm on my family's history until someone takes it from me. I enjoy being part of Find A Grave and respecting the memories of those memorialized here. I try very hard to get it right the first time and because I am human sometimes I come up short. If I have placed incorrect information on a memorial please send me an email of what I missed. Please include the correction for my mistake and I will fix it. Respectful and tactful comments only please. Only these types of correspondence will always be taken seriously and anything less will be ignored. I don't mind turning over a memorial to someone if they are kin to the person. I take my family history seriously and if I am kin to the person you want, you may not get them from me. Ask me anyway and maybe we can work though it. I am willing to help anyone that may need ancestry assistance to join UDC, NSSAR, SCV and the MOS&B. Please don't hesitate to ask me. God bless you all and the memorials you record on F/G. Semper Fi...|

Well thank you. Are you in South Carolina?
|Sally Seay Smith||Henry Fox|
He's my 7th ggrandfather too! Wish we could figure out where he is buried.
|Anita R. Austill||RE: Lanhams|
Always like to me a distant cousin.
I know so many of the Coker family; however, I do not, at this moment, recall a helicopter pilot. My son is a helicoper armorer (AH-64 - the tank killer) and served during the early days of the Iraq War when we lost so many. My husband was born in the Shiloh area of Sumter County, near Turbeville. He is related to all of those Cokers, Floyds, Greens, and we-the-people! I am originally from Sumter.
Thank you for your note. Keep up the good work!

Sent you an email in reference to above gravesite in South Carolina
|Bill McKern||RE: Joseph Gist|
I appear to have "Northed" when I should have "Southed". I just checked the Congressional biographical directory to verify that South Carolina is correct.
I'll send in a correction.
Thanks for letting me know about this error so I can get it fixed.

Certainly, you are welcome to use my pictures for these grave markers. I do not care if you give me credit for them. I feel that anything on Findagrave is public property. After all, the purpose is to share information.
|Rhonda Campbell Garrison||Aunt Dottie|
Jeffrey I sent you a private email explaining some things I didn't want public :). I also have some information about Minnie, which you may already know I will send it soon.
|Rhonda Campbell Garrison||RE: Cousin Dottie|
Hi Jefferey, I have a few pictures of mom and dad that I will send to you and I may have one of grandmother Willie I can send. I do not know that much about my Great Grandparents but I can talk to Aunt Diane and Aunt Myra to see if I can gather some information for you. I would love to know more about our family. I would love to meet in person one day, Aunt Diane and Aunt Myra are the only two remaining of mom's siblings and often talk about a family reunion but nothing ever comes of it :(. I have a busy day tomorrow but will make sure to send the pictures Sunday.
