I am married with two children and five grandchildren. God and family are my life.

While growing up in Virginia, I developed a great love of history, especially as it relates to family. Family history was very important to my father as well. Over the years, we have met relatives we otherwise would not have known, and they have enriched our lives in so many ways.

Having retired in 2011, I now have time to enjoy my family and to pursue all the things I've been wanting to do for years. I have a bachelor's degree in art and love to sing. I also love people (all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds) as well as all sorts of animals, especially horses, dogs and cats.
