Mrs. Anita Rowena Sanders Watkins, 90, of Corsicana, Texas passed on October 23, 2010 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village.

Mrs. Watkins was born on November 17, 1919 in Tyler, Texas to Ruebin Elisah Arnold and Bessie Clarssie Thorn (Arnold).

She was an active member of the Northside Baptist Church in Corsicana, Texas. She volunteered at the church's Care Center for many years. She was a housewife and homemaker most of her life.

Mrs. Watkins was predeceased by two wonderful husbands: Battle Malone Sanders passed away in 1968 after 23 years of marriage, and Marvin Watkins passed away in 1985 after 22 years of marriage.

Mrs. Watkins was also predeceased by her son, Allen Wayne Sanders and daughter Wanda Sue Sanders.

She is survived by her brother, Rocky Arnold of Corpus Christie, TX.; daughter and son in law: Darlene and Scott Young of Henderson, Nevada: grandchildren, Paige Glicksman Mims and husband Jeff of Dallas, TX ; Brooke Glicksman Norch and husband Chris of Sherman, TX.; Kyle Glicksman and wife, Rockie of Corsicana, TX ; Kellie Spearman and husband Jon of Omaha, NB.; Stacy Layne of Austin, TX.; April Rieger and husband Richard of College Station, TX ; and Nikki Knox of Wichita, KS. Mrs. Watkins is survived by 18 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staffs at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village and Navarro Regional Hospital for the compassionate care that Mrs. Watkins received.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Corley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday October 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Lamb officiating with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Kyle Glicksman, Scott Young, Jeff Mims, Chris Norch, Richard Rieger and Jon Spearman. Honorarary Pallbearer will be Dr. Joseph M. Glicksman.

Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at Northside Baptist Church.
