Funeral services are pending at Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home for Mrs. O. S. Arey of Floyd, 81, who died Wednesday morning at the Greenville home of her daughter, Mrs. Geneva Ellis. Mrs. Arey was born Nov. 9, 1884 in Lowden, Tenn., the daughter of William L. and Matilda C. Morgan Pittman. She married Orville S. Arey Jan. 21, 1904 in Hunt County. Mr. Arey died Jan. 15, 1959. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Coke-Mathews-Peters Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bob Cooper will officiate. Interment will be in the Caddo Mills IOOF cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Ellis of Greenville; five sons: Lee Arey of Floyd, Cecil Arey of Celeste, Ernest Arey of Rifle, Polo., Euless Arey of Bristol, Conn., and Buddy Arey of San Rafael, Calif.; five sisters: Mrs. Marion Chaney of Greenville, Mrs. M. E. Miller of Ector, Mrs. J. W. Regan of Garland, and Mrs. Carl Lowman of Dallas; three brothers: Carl Pittman of Princeton, Welch Pittman of Irving and H. H. Pittman of Shreveport; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. One son, Weldon Arey, preceded Mrs. Arey in death.
