Doris Pittman, age 61 of Ranger, passed from this life Saturday, August 31, 2013. Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 4 at 10:00 AM at the Merriman Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral home in Ranger, TX. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3 from 5-7 PM.
Doris was born on Oct. 20, 1951 at Dublin TX to Faye & Ila Baugh, Doris was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Ranger, she loved to crochet and she was an L.V.N. working at the Ranger Hospital and then the Eastland Nursing Home. She married Victor Pittman and resided in Ranger.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, a son, Curtis; her parents and a brother. Survivors include: 2 sons : Victor Jr & wife Lou Terri Robert & wife Angie 2 daughters : Jennifer Lee & husband Keven and Robin Maddox Carl Baugh and wife Martha of Glen Rose TX, Billy Baugh and wife Mary Lou of Abilene TX; Larry Baugh and wife Deborah of Ovall TX; Peggy Roberts and husband Doyle of Eastland; Bonnie Taylor and husband Henry of Abilene TX, Mary Cagle and husband Ivan of Clyde TX; & Debbie Cutright and husband of Lawn TX; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grand children.
Doris was loved by everyone who knew her. She was as gentle as a dove and never had a hard word for anyone. She will be missed.
