She was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on May 10, 1968, to Larry and Loretta (Walters) Overturf. Annette was a graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School and Jamestown Business
College. Annette served a church mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ar-cadia, Calif. She had worked at Pearson Chiropractic and at Heritage Village Health Care Center in Gerry as activities director.
After Annette married her husband, David Alexander, in 1994, she has served as a homemaker ever since. Annette loved her children and they meant the world to her. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She especially loved gardening for her home storage as well as flower gardening to make her home look beautiful. She believed in sending handwritten notes to everyone for thank you cards, as well as get well cards. She was always willing to give to anyone in need. Annette will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Surviving are her husband, David E. Alexander, whom she married July 14, 1994, in Washington, D.C.; four children: Michael Alexander of Colorado, serving mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bryce, Annalee and Kayla Alexander, all at home; her parents Larry and Loretta Overturf of Gerry; her siblings: Rodney (Roxanne) Overturf of South Dayton, Eileen Overturf of Gerry, and Gail (Jody) Pettet of Kaysville, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Roy and Emma (Shutters) Overturf; and maternal grandparents, Harold and Emma(Meacham) Walters.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 851 Forest Ave., Jamestown, N.Y. Bishop Keith Fairbanks will officiate. Burial will be in the Gerry Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home, and 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday in the church. Memorials may be donated to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750; or to the American Cancer Society, Western Regional Office, 101 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228-1198.
