Eugenie Marshall Allen, 91, of Houston died January 5, 1901 in Vail, Colorado. She was born on June 28, 1901 in Hearne, the dugher of Valesca Stephen Marshall and Richard Webster Marsall. She graduated from the University of Texas with honors in 1923 and was a member Phi Beta Kappa scholastic society. She began her 36-year teaching career in the Gainesville ISD. During her 59 years as a resident of Houston and Richmond, she was an active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Houston and Calvary Episcopal Church in Richmond. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Drew Ellis Allen and by her son, Richard Sterling Allen. Survivors include her son Walter D. Allen(Monica) of Vail, Colorado; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
