Ashcraft, Joanna Nell Joanna went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 25, 2012 at the age of 77. She was born on December 19, 1934 in Smithville, Monroe County, Indiana to Clyde and Gayle Danner and raised in San Mateo, CA. She served as a missionary wife at the Evangelical Church in Orsay, France, as a pastor's wife at Millbrae Baptist Church, Millbrae, CA., and as a senior pastor's wife at Scofield Memorial Church, Dallas, Texas for many years. Joanna was loved and respected as the ultimate pastor's wife by all those in the Scofield family. As one woman wrote, "Thank the Lord for all the ways that you have shown unconditional love to so many women who have been blessed to cross paths with you, for being such an amazing example Christ's love, acceptance, humility, gentleness, and kindness among so many." Joanna is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Neil Ashcraft, three children and their spouses, Pamela Bell and Ron, David and Ruth Ashcraft, and Stuart and Shellie Ashcraft, along with six grandchildren, Tamara, Carolyn and, Amanda Bell, Justin and Ashleigh Ashcraft, and Shelby Graham. Joanna is also survived by two sisters, Delores Brown of San Diego, CA and LaDonna Poe of Sonora, CA. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, June 29, at Restland Funeral Home. There will be a private burial service June 30, and a memorial service, June 30, 11:00 a.m. at Scofield Memorial Church, 7730 Abrams Road.
