Rebecca Dalton Beam, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 6, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Franklin Dalton and Martha Fortson Dalton. Rebecca received a B.A. Degree from Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C. She enjoyed teaching English for many years. Rebecca was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church for 54 years where she served in the Alpha class and the children's department for over 20 years. Rebecca prayed for family, friends, neighbors, barren wives, and mission efforts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Ray Beam, her sisters Dorothy Hoskin, Jo Ann Harrelson and Madeline Cooper. Mrs. Beam is survived by one son, Gilbert Franklin Beam; three grandchildren, Stephen Beam, Elizabeth Beam, and Emily Deal; one great-grandson; Billy Lee Deal IV, and many beloved relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11 beginning at 1 p.m. until the service starts at 2 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave in Memphis.
