Robert "Bob" Eugene Zimmerman, age 83, of North Canton, passed away May 24, 2017. He was born August 3, 1933 in Washington Court House, Ohio, son to the late Dana F. Zimmerman and Mable (Leafy) Zimmerman. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, and was retired from AT&T. Robert was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and bowled on a senior bowling team. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step brother, Emmett Markley. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ruth A. (Alloway) Zimmerman of the home; sons, Mark R. (Kelly) Zimmerman of Malvern, PA., Brian S. Zimmerman of Denver, CO. and his six grandchildren, Margaret, Sean, Garrett, Erin, Daniel and Robert. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am in Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel with Rev. Eli Klingensmith officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
