Mark D. Sternin, Jr., age 25, of Tonawanda, died Sunday, January 10, 2016. Born in Amherst, he was a resident of Newfane until moving to Tonawanda several years ago. Mark was a Buffalo Bills fan and an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, snowboarding, hiking, and other sports. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them all.

He is survived by his parents, Mark "Dan" and Donna (nee Dickey) Sternin of Mesa, Arizona; his brothers, Gregory (Stephanie) Sternin and Thomas G. Sternin, both of Mesa, Arizona; his sister, Alexandra (Ronald) Karis of Wahiawa, Hawaii; his nephew, Karson Karis; and his grandmothers, Glenna Sternin and Margaret Dickey, both of Tonawanda. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, and from 11 AM - Noon on Friday at the Ridgewood Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, where funeral services will be held at Noon Friday; Pastor Michael Foster officiating. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to the Ridgewood Bible Church Missions, 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY 14094 (please specify Mission Fund), or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, or at http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/, are preferred by the family.
