John "Dawg" Lietzke 47, of Charlotte, MI died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident responding to an emergency call for the Olivet Fire Department. Mr. Lietzke was born September 4, 1960 the son of LaVern Lietzke and Sandra (Richard Bromley) Revenaugh. Mr. Lietzke was a Master Plumber and a volunteer for the Olivet Fire Department. He was an avid Spartan Fan, liked to travel and sing karaoke. Mr. Lietzke was involved with the Olivet Marching Band, you would know him when he pulled in with the "food trailer". He enjoyed bowling, golf and body building. Mr. Lietzke was passionate and very proud of his girls.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughters Ayla and Meagan; stepson, Ryan Wills (Jody Campbell) of Lansing; grandson, Alexander; parents-in-law, Richard and Luella Hoskins; sisters, Joan (Barry) Waite of Bath, Judith (Larry) McNair of Charlotte and Amanda (James) Kirby of Nashville; many other loved ones.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Charlotte Assembly of God Church with Pastor Shane Bryant officiating. Interment will be at Bosworth Cemetery, Charlotte, MI. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Friday, September 28, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, MI

Because of his duty death, his name is inscribed on the Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial Monument, Stone 2, Row 29. The monument is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of County Center Drive East (north entrance) and N. Telegraph Rd., on Oakland County's complex at 1200 North Telegraph Road in Pontiac, Michigan
