My Uncle Bob was my mom's youngest brother and the first one of her siblings to pass away. He was killed on Christmas evening (on Christmas day itself, it's hard to imagine) after being thrown from a car which had gone out of control, having skidded on newly refrozen ice (it had melted during the day). The accident occurred on the old one lane bridge over the Stillwater River on State Route 571 on the east side of West Milton, Ohio. I missed out on knowing Bob since he was long gone before I was born, but I've heard enough stories about him to know that I missed a lot.
Uncle Bob was 23 years. 5 months and 22 days old at the time of his death.
