I have researched this family for years. If you are related and would like to share or exchange information, I'd love to hear from you.

Jane was the daughter of Nancy (unknown) and James (middle initial C or E) Wood of South Carolina. Nancy died of typhoid in 1870 when the family resided in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. Also Jane's younger sister, Susan, died of typhoid the same year. Jane was the second wife of Jasper Newton Davis. He died 1875 in Texas, presumedly Lamar County, Texas.

Note: A marriage for Marietta Woods to Austin H. Peach in Lamar County, Texas 17 May 1872. I cannot prove this was the youngest sister of Jane and her siblings. but the trees on Ancestry do not prove the parents they show for Marietta either. Can you help?
