KEYSTONE HEIGHTS-Mildred Altman Mizell Pickett, 83, of Keystone Heights, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, following an extended illness.
Born in Jacksonville, Mrs. Pickett had been a resident of Keystone Heights for the past 22 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, O.E.S. Riverview chapter 265 and a homemaker. Mrs. Pickett was preceded in death by her son, Robert A. Mizell and siblings Leroy, Mamie and Herbert.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Menotte of Jacksonville and Dorothy Sievers of Keystone Heights; two sisters, Bertha Clark and Louise Pickett, both of Jacksonville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Thursday, Aug. 21, from 6-8 p.m. at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at Edgewood Cemetery in Jacksonville with the Rev. James Peoples and the Rev. Scott Stanland officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Jones-Gallagher.
