Country Musician, Entertainer. Known as the “King of the Hillbilly Piano Players”, he incorporated jazz, rock 'n' roll and blues into the country and western material he composed and performed. One of the main artists who gave country music a very deep blues edge and predated what would be done in rock 'n' roll by 20 years, he was associated with the hillbilly boogie style which greatly influenced rockabilly.
