Hall of Fame Professional Football Player. He was a defensive tackle for the National Football League's Seattle Seahawks from 1990 to 2000. He played football collegiately at the University of Miami (Florida) where he played for two National Championship teams and was named an All-American in 1989. He was drafted by the Seahawks in the first round of the 1990 NFL Draft and starred for them for the next eleven seasons. He was named to Pro Bowl eight times (1991-1996, 1998, 1999). He was also a three time First Team All-Pro and two time Second Team All-Pro during his career. He was named the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 1992. He retired after the 2000 season with 668 tackles, 58 sacks, and 3 interceptions. After his retirement, he worked as an advisor for the New Orleans Saints. He was generally considered one of the best defensive tackles to ever play that position in NFL history. He was honored by the Seahawks by being named to their Ring of Honor in 2006 and having his number 96 retired. In 2012 he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
