Actor. Born Jay Fredrick Bontatibus, he was best known for his role of Tony Viscardi on the CBS daytime soap opera "The Young and the Restless" from 1998 to 2000. Before going into acting, he was a two time All American Boxer and two time Northeast Boxing Champion. After boxing, he turned to acting and studied under famed acting coaches Wynn Handman, William Esper, and Diane Ainslee in New York City. He received his first television role in 1996 on the daytime soap "Another World". Besides "The Young and the Restless", he would go on to appear on various television series throughout his career. His television credits included such series as "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch", "Walker, Texas Ranger", "V.I.P.", "General Hospital", "CSI: Miami", "Cold Case", and "Days of Our Lives". He also appeared in the films "I Love You Came Too Late" (2004) and "Lords of the Underworld" (2007). He passed away after a battle with cancer.
