Actor. He earned his place in entertainment history as being the performer who played the character 'Superman' the most times professionally. Holiday played 'Superman' in the 1966 Broadway production "It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman" 129 times. More so than George Reeves who played the character 105 times in the television series. Additionally, Holiday is the first and only performer to play the character on the Broadway stage, to date. His fondness for entertaining can be traced back to his high school years, when he was a participant in the school's glee club. After graduation, he enlisted with the United States Army and acquired experience as a disc jockey with Armed Forces Radio, while stationed in Germany. Following his discharge, he performed on the nightclub circuit. His break came when he was cast to play 'Neil' in the George Abbott, long running, smash, Broadway musical "Fiorello!" (1959 to 1961). At the height of his popularity, he appeared on the TV program "I've Got a Secret" (1966). After retiring from the entertainment industry, he became a successful home builder.
