Mr. Callie Ray "Skeeter" Fleming, 86, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Abilene.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m., on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Pioneer Cemetery Pavilion just outside of Cross Plains.

Arrangements were entrusted to Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene, Texas.

Callie was born on May 25, 1929 in Pioneer, Texas to the late Callie Alexander and Lora Mabel Crass Fleming.

He married Betty Lou Wilson in September of 1956 in Snyder, Texas.

He retired from Chevron Oil Company after 38 years of service and was a longtime farmer/rancher.

He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of Union Methodist Church in Snyder.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Alton Neil Fleming; a sister, Edith LaVerne Hood; and his wife, Betty Lou Fleming.

His survivors include his son, David Fleming; his daughter, Sherry Fleming; a brother, Sam Fleming; and two sisters, Johnye Conner and Pat Allen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon's International.
