Likely the oldest African American Cemetery in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. The old part of the cemetery in overgrown and cannot be seen or reached from the road without having a guide who knows how to navigate the dense growth. Local researchers erroneously report only the strip of graves near the road as the Alford/Dunmore Cemetery. That strip of land came into use only because the main portion of cemetery cannot be entered at this point in time.
