Find a Grave ID

When you see a cardinal, it's a reminder of someone who has passed-or even a sign someone from the spirit world is reaching out to you with love, reassurance, or a message.

I live in Saint Charles, Illinois. I enjoy researching family connections, particularly clearing up mysteries and unanswered questions for family members, and have begun contributing here.

Why are people requesting pictures of unmarked graves? They're impossible to find.

You can do the volunteers a favor: Find out where your subject is buried. I mean don't GUESS the cemetery, find out where in the cemetery they're buried. Section # or name, Block #, Lot #, Space #. It's much easier for a volunteer to find a grave if they know basic information before they start strolling through thousands of gravesites, some of which don't have markers.

If your request is very old, perhaps the reason is - the grave is not marked.

One thing I've noticed about the recordkeeping of my local cemeteries - is they can't find the names on my lists. Is that because someone is guessing where their subject is buried? Sometimes the people are in completely different cemeteries. DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST, before you make your request.

If there are any changes that need to be made that you notice, please let me know. And if you would prefer to manage something that I am managing, I will gladly transfer it to you.
