I started my efforts with Find A Grave in July, 2018. By training I am a research scientist, so its natural that I am interested with DNA testing that goes with genealogical research to connect with previously unknown relatives.

I believe information should be clearly referenced so as not to mislead other researchers, and to avoid any appearance of plagiarism. Ideally, all that is needed are the references, not the source material. There are likely exceptions to this, e.g., Find-A-Grave may carry part of a family tree by necessity, and it may be too burdensome to supply all the supporting references to prove the relationships.
