I am the daughter of Elmer Sheeder and Nina Christensen. My Sheeder, Palmer, Harwood and Hayes ancestors came from New York, Maine and Pennsylvania to Guthrie County, Iowa to settle in the mid 1800's. In the late 1800's my Christensen and Hansen great-grandparents immigrated to Audubon County, Iowa from Denmark. I am a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution through my Palmer and Harwood ancestors. I have applied for membership to the Mayflower Society because I descend from Pilgrim George Soule. All my ancestors have made many sacrifices so I may be here today.
