I have been researching my genealogy since I was in high school and wanted to either prove or disprove my grandparents' assertions about their ancestors.

I have extensively researched the descendants of Franz Meida, my paternal great-great-grandfather. My father's mother's family is Irish and French Canadian, and goes back fifteen generations in North America. My mother's ancestry is largely from English and Dutch immigrants to New England.

If you're from the northeast quadrant of North America, and are not a recent immigrant family, we're probably cousins.

Besides genealogy, I enjoy reading, knitting and bicycling.
