I have been researching my ancestry on and off for about 17 years. I recently got back into it when my boys had family history projects to work on for school. I realized that my grandparents and their siblings are mostly gone and my father has passed away so there are few people left to answer questions about my family. I want to document this for my children before there is no one left to share their stories. I have found that sites like Find-A-Grave are very useful and there are so many friendly people willing to help. I always thought my ancestors were recent arrivals in the U.S., but I am finding that my family goes back many generations, even beyond the founding of this great nation. I am continually amazed with the people I come from and I am looking forward to learning about them all!
