Bio

A right off the bat PSA... I "never" suggest nor make edit's w/out actual "records" as my sources.
Another words, I do not run off tree's for "fact's".
Yes to put folk's together where better then to look to all our family lines/tree's, then off I hop to the actual "work" of it all I go.

If I am touching a memorial, it is 9x's out of 10 due to my being somehow connected to that person or their family line via DNA or marriage. Also, my ID happens to be my actual birth initial's. #PureMichigan
While I myself am on the "who do I think I am journey", not growing up w/my paternal line's & looking smack-dab at records etc., why not take the 2 minutes to add to the journey someone else is bound to be on too.
Keeping in mind, not everyone can afford the sources of said records , DNA testing etc. to see their own Kin folk's tree's , work & "family connection's" ....

I cherish this Ancestry Journey & hold much gratitude of those that have helped me learn & all you do for our family's!
I hope that my work will pay forward to those also looking to fill in the puzzle pieces & finding their family roots.

Speaking of paying forward all the work, time & $ we have all invested in search's of our kin, tis time to offer the younger to take the reins!
Let me know if you would care to take over "any" memorial's I manage period.
Pretty sure my #2 cat's will not be notifying anyone when I go, so lets get-er-done! wink...wink...

Please, also feel FREE to take any photo's & info. I share "with NO expectation's of pats on the back" via memorials on this site.
My goal is to "only" pay forward what has been "gifted" to me, so as our future generation's will know their own & continue our work & story's.
As the ole ditty says: We can't take it w/us when we go so....

Keep flying w/the Angels....
TLC....

PS... as of 8/2021 I have changed my "public" ID & set my "personal" e-mail to private due to some folk's not realizing how invasive the big-wide world of cyber-land can be w/their posting the above on memorial edits "contributions".
Edit's, we/ "I" make "only" in hope to "help others" find their family roots.
Some have yet to comprehend how easy it is to find a IP address which then leads to even easier finding of a persons actual physical address & information etc. etc...
So, lets all keep in mind "our part" in keeping our fellow "volunteers" as safe as possible.
And yes, I am fully aware of "all" that can be found publicly of our personal information w/just logging onto the net period too.
I am however, "always" open to messages via the appropriate Find A Grave channels.

I so hope that the "control" issue "nonsense" does not squelch a family members heart .
Tis totally "useless" at the end of the day & will only stop "our" work from any meaning when we are gone & the younger generation's not knowing the story's of "their own kin" to pass on etc...
Memorial's are asking, some even "DEMANDING" actual Kin of the deceased to jump thru some UNECESSARY & absolutely RIDICULOUS hoop's to appease the memorial manager's "self-proclaimed necessities" to 1rst, be deemed worthy of the manager pondering updated offer's/suggestion's/ FACT's.
Then, weather to accept or decline the actual FAMILY members edit/UPDATE suggestion's.
All expected to be done this way for so & so, that way for another so & so...
What would you think if we who are "actually related" to the folk's "you are not", start questioning your sources of actual burial, birth & death dates, marriages or children etc. etc.?!
Asking the same you ask for with each & "every" memorial you have designed & are now playing the heavenly gate-keeper of from behind a screen. You who never met the deceased, nor even #1 of their actual family member's .....
Would you yourself be willing to meet those DAMANDS, those HIGH expectation's?!

Find A Grave not meant to be a genealogical site?!
For the love of God, ANCESTERY.com owns this site!
As of 2018 via Wiki:
"Managers may add links to other listings of deceased spouses, parents, and siblings "for genealogical purposes".

Please do not parrot the following to "me", nor expect me to adhere to such "opinions". "not for genealogy purposes" ..
Even Founder of Find A Grave & his own stance of why he designed this source was for a FUN little HOBBY. .. Burials of "celebrities"...

The HIGH expectations some have over others kin/blood lines, really honors no#1. And tis actually NOT NICE period.

These expectation's certainly do not serve the folk's that would never have their story's told & their legacy's valued in this "too busy" world.
Hence the "actual" goal & value in "Find A Grave" out there!

I for #1 another mere volunteer, am now 60yrs. old & do not appreciate the condescending, useless NONSENSE some seem to feed off . Life gets shorter by the day for many of us & playing such "games", will NOT be accepted for the time we have left!
Treating us as if we are "children" to be educated how to feel or act of the burials of our own Kin, put in the place "you feel" we need to be in the world. Again, thru the screen & over folk's you never even met etc. etc... This makes you the actual silly #1 at the end of our days "here together" in the world. And, you do so for all to see too.
You score no point's w/Find A Grave nor w/the Angels .
Only point's in the negative out there.

The individual's who use this site truly need to keep in mind that we are not working on memorials we "own".
This site was designed to make life a tad easier on mere human-being's who miss/mourn their ancestor's & even a "enjoyable" experience.
And, for the masses to be able to "find & KNOW their Kin". PERIOD.

My "source" of above:
"In 2013, Tipton sold Find a Grave to Ancestry.com, stating the genealogy company had "been linking and driving traffic to the site for several years. Burial information is a wonderful source for people researching their family history."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Find_a_Grave

Reality at the end of each day being, when we are all gone... the family's that visit the memorials we have touched, will truly not even pay attention to our names. So remember, it is "they" who "we" do this for. Motives when we "volunteer" need to be checked.

The world can never have too much humility.
