In this day and time, we live where family and business consumes our time. Taking on hobbies such as genealogy could be viewed as difficult. Well that is not the case.

With only an hour or two a week, you will be amazed at how fast you will fill your curiousity, and build a connected database in perpetuity for your family. It celebrates the memory of those we try to document in our family history using websites such as Findagrave.com and through MyHeritage.com, ancestors.com, Wikitree, LDS websites. You will find volumes of information through research.

Our family ancestors came in to Plymouth Rock, settling in Virginia, Connecticut, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, and south to the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. We have direct descendants on both sides of our family tree that came directly into Edisto Island and Charleston, SC in the 1600s. Some migrated to Texas, and California and other points as our tree continued to grow.

My goal is for every leg discovered, its traced with the names from records, articles and photos to the Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, UK, Scotland, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy and beyond. It's uploaded to GEDCOM so others can confirm it's validity or add to their own tree.

We have found it interesting to see the paths of our ancestors cross paths many times as both maternal and paternal ancestors. Our family ancestors consist of names such as Sealy, Jones, Ogletree, Graham, Lemon, Lively, Jefferson, Maples, Harris, Smith, Presley, Franklin, Ogden, Crockett, Drake, Norwood, Sigmon, Deal, Starnes, Methvin, Stewart,Telford, Moose, Morris, Howle, Carroll, Blake, Wood, Carter, Knox, Propst, Williams, Goforth, Wike, Scronce, Pope, Davenport, Pierce, Isaac, Abernathy, Belk, Jarrett to name a few.
We have notable leaders like Thomas Jefferson, John F Kennedy, John Marshall, Robert E Lee, Davy Crockett, John Ogden, as examples in our family tree.

We also have fought ancestors who served in the American Revolution, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm w many relatives in these conflicts w Pow's, Mia's and lives lost in these wars.

With each search for an ancestors data, their gravesite, looking at pictures and articles, we feel attached as the departed have a story to share about their past, if only we take the time to observe. Its there. For my grown children we now have a family tree that represents many generations.

We now are taking the time to invest in cleaning up aging gravesites. Another piece of the puzzle we look to complete.
