Bio

Hi,

My name is Andi and I have been researching my Family Tree for over 20 years. I really can't remember how it all started. My Mom provided me an original document titled "The Genealogy of Maria Jane Clouse **** Thomas Lee, Married 1854, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, Immigrated 1880 to Waverly, Nebraska. Things took off from their.

I installed Ancestry's software on my computer and within weeks I had entered several hundred names.

In 2010 I received an email that somebody had responded to a posting from 2003 and they had some information for me. Turns out she was a half sister to my mother and we never knew she existed. And there was more, there were three other siblings. We met two of the siblings in person 6 months later.

After this very exciting adventure I finally uploaded my tree to Ancestry.com and since then I feel like I have been a mad detective. Finding headstone pictures, family stories, obituaries and more.

I finally confirmed that my great grandfather changed the spelling of his last name from Twiggs to Twigg sometime between 1930 and 1940. All very exciting to be able to get information researched and confirmed.

Last Names that I am researching: Twiggs, Twigg, McGrath, Petch, Lee, Clouse. As of 2023, I am still struggling to find the exact link that would give me the full history of the Twigg(s) family and completely stuck on the Petch side of the family.

On my husbands side of the family I am researching: Oldfield, Hill, Monroe, Sams, Wine, Whybark.

Happy Searching,
Andi
