I grew up in Gadsden, Alabama but have lived in Florida for the last 18 years. In the last couple of years, ancestry research has become my hobby. My "Standifer" roots began in Maryland, then moved to Georgia, and finally Tuscaloosa. My "Payne" roots began in Georgia then moved to Etowah Co. Alabama. My "Burroughs" and "Nix" roots began in South Carolina and moved into Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I am always looking for distant cousins so we can exchange information.
