I'm a descendant of Swiss imigrant, Nicholas Isler who came to America in 1709 and who served as secretary and business manager of the colony, New Bern, NC. My line: Nicholas Isler 1661, Frederick Isler 1696, John Isler 1750, Nathan Isler 1780, Michael B. Isler 1811, Frederick Isler 1845-1912; John Cephus Becton Isler 1865-1948, and Furnie Marion Isler 1892-1937.
