Ed was born on August 19, 1948 in DeSota, Missouri to Grace and Edwin Wilkinson, Sr.
Upon graduation from DeSoto High School, Ed attended and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Louis Christian College and later graduated from Kentucky Christian University with a Masters of Ministry degree.
For the next 40 years of his life, Ed would serve as a loving husband, devoted father, and faithful minister of the Gospel. Ed's strongest passion in life was sharing the Gospel. He loved to lead people into a saving relationship with the Lord.
In 40 years of faithful ministry, Ed served six congregations: Nebo Christian Church in Nebo, IL., Bridgeport Christian Church in Bridgeport, IL., Mt. Auburn Christian Church in Cape Girardeau, MO., Monett Christian Church in Monett, MO., Southern Heights Christian Church in Anderson, IN. and Warrenton Christian Church in Warrenton, MO.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Ed directed community choirs, assisted in establishing a Crisis Pregnancy Center, a Crisis Pregnancy Home, a Day Care Center, offered oversight in launching a multi-culture church, served on the Board of Directors for St. Louis Christian College, and was a member and previous President for the Board of Directors for Agape Ministry.
Ed is survived by his wife, Cathy Wilkinson of Warrenton, MO.; his mother, Grace Wilkinson of Blackwell, MO; one daughter; one son; four grandchildren; one sister; three brothers; and several nephews & nieces.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edwin C. Wilkinson Sr., and his nephew, Joshua Wilkinson.
