Bub was the son of Arthur and Stella (Grice) Kemp. He grew up working for Dierks and Weyerhaeuser in the traveling timber town called Clebit. Bub was a World War II Veteran of the South Pacific. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed gardening and was a great husband for over 47 years, a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather, Bub was a member of the First Baptist Church of Broken Bow.
