"Effie Garrison

"Effie Jacobs Garrison, age 82, of Fordyce, died Tuesday, September 23, 1997, in the Dallas County Hospital at Fordyce.
"Born February 12, 1915 in Dallas County, she was a daughter of John L. Jacobs and Nancy Stover Jacobs.
"She was a beauty shop owner for 54 years and a member of the First Baptist Church of Fordyce.
"She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Garrison.
"Survivors include one son, Dickey Garrison of Clemont, Fla.; two daughters, Jean Byrd of Magnolia and Nancy Garrison of Fordyce; two sisters, Tibbie Lindsey of El Paso, Tex., and Lois Hickey of El Dorado; and two grandchildren.
"Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Shaddox officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home, Inc.
"Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fordyce or to the donor's favorite charity."
