She died after being struck by an automobile.
Beside her is a marker for her brother Emer Harold Beckwith (1925-1941) who was Seaman 1st Class, buried at sea in WW2 and memorialized in the Punchbowl in Hawaii. His is listed in the Navy Casualty book that ends in 1941 - so he may not have been formally declared dead until the later 1945 date of the Pacific Memorial.
Both were the children of Harry Emer Beckwith 1896-1960 and wife Anna Harriette Margaretha Rethman Beckwith, 1891-1985. Harry was the son of Benjamin Franklin Beckwith and Amira VanScyoc Beckwith.
