Arthur (Art) E. Lokkins, 88, Lady Lake, FL died Sunday, September 9, 2012. He was a Bombardier on a B-17 in World War II. Upon receiving his Masters Degree from the University of Michigan, he taught science and math in the Flint public schools for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Joanne, stepson Daryl Norvell, daughter Diane (Tom) Sanglier; grandsons Mark and Matthew (Kathryn) Berryman; great grandchildren Zachary, Tyler, Caroline and Anna Berryman; Two brothers Elmer Lokkins (Gus Archilla) and Jerry Mullen; beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by brother Charles Lokkins, sister Helen Thrun and brother-in-law Howard Thrun.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VORRH (Veterans Organization of Resource & Recovery for Homeless Vets), P.O. Box 1754, Eustis, FL 32767.
