Ralph Younker, the youngest son of Fred and Addie Younker was a pro baseball player. He played with the Lake Charles, La. team (Evangeline League) in 1936; Charleston Senators during the 37-38 seasons; and for Toledo, Forth Worth, and Winston-Salem in 1939; and the Hartford Senators
during the 1940-41 seasons. At this time he had a tryout with the Boston Braves. He was killed in a car accident just after the 1942 spring training season. He was only 22. He was married to Grace Isabell Reid and had one son, Gary Younker.
