Mrs. Drucilla Weaver, who would have celebrated her 91st birthday next Monday and who came to Greenville a short time after the townsite was established arriving here in 1864, died at the home of her son, H.B. Weaver, 1915 Marshal street at 10:40 o'clock this morning following a brief attack of pneumonia.

Funeral services will be held at the home at 1:30 Sunday afternoon. Services will be in charge of Rev. Roy Cogdill, pastor of the Church of Christ of which she was a devout member. Interment will follow in East Mount cemetery.

Mrs. Weaver who returned here from the home of her daughter in Cooper to spend the winter with her son, was active until last Tuesday despite her over four score years. On Tuesday she became ill and Wednesday she developed pneumonia.

Mrs. Weaver was recognized as one of the oldest citizens of Greenville having arrived here from Hopkins County to make her home during the last year of the civil war. She came here when Greenville was a small struggling village, served only by the old ox cart, and pony express lines. In 1880 the family moved to Cooper where her husband, Judge S.S. Weaver, recognized as one of the outstanding attorneys of this part of the state died the following year.

She is survived by the following children: G.G. Weaver, Amarillo; Ben Weaver, Fort Worth, and H.S. Weaver of this city; also Mrs. Mary C. Ward, Sulphur Springs, and Mrs. L.C. Kenyon of Cooper.

She had been an active church worker for many years and was ever ready to aid those in less fortunate circumstances. She was an example of traditional true Southern womanhood, whose hospitality, generosity and sincerity were unbouneded, and as such had endeared herself to countless hundreds of friends and acquaintances.

The relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in this hour of sadness.
